Will you be going to the Boro match?
I've been going well over 30 years. Now go with my kids, brother, his family, dad and uncle - all STHs.

I noticed a couple of people on here saying that they had STs and didn't go yesterday.

I've always just gone to matches because it was a laugh most of the time even when we were shit and because I felt I somehow "owed" it, to someone, to something, to support the team.

On the tube home with the kids I realised I enjoyed the train journey more than the match. I'm thinking of not going on Saturday as we are useless and it's not even a laugh anymore. Sitting in the Gods it's not like I can give anyone any abuse as no #### could here me from there anyway so who am I "supporting" by turning up apart from the owners and Westfield? This is not what I expected in August.

I've never understood sacking a game when you have a ticket, as shit as it is right now it's still better than doing anything else on a Saturday..

Re: Will you be going to the Boro match?
I think it's combination of the team and the stadium.

I've got the Palace tickets and I'm well up for that as even if we lose I know it will on some level be a laugh and you can actually get behind the team as you're close enough to make some noise and not stand out like a sore thumb as the only one doing so.

Maybe I just chose the wrong place to get STs. I've done all the homes and Man City away but... oh I don't know. We'll see... I'll probably change my mind.

The only home games I've made this season were Domzale and Bournemouth, so i went into the game yesterday thinking the same thing.

:(

I've missed the last three home games for various reasons. Last league game I went to was Bournemouth, I think, so perhaps I am a lucky omen?

Re: Will you be going to the Boro match?
I was encouraged by Bilic saying at the end that some players had some credit from last season but that credit has run out.
Not sure what options he has but with our current players playing as we are we won't beat anyone.
He will be earning his money this week

I'll be there but the side needs a massive shake up.

Re: Will you be going to the Boro match?
As fans surely we should be there through the good and the bad, just because we've lost a few games shouldn't stop us from going!

This is when the team needs solidarity at its most (although the majority of the players won't give a fuck either way as long as they're picking up their fortunes every week), we don't want to be seen by other supporters as fickle - even Southampton fans took the piss at the end by signing "we've got more fans than you" massive cringe!

Re: Will you be going to the Boro match?
Of course
This is when the team needs the fans. And when you learn which players (and manager) have something about them.
Any foam fingered tosspot can go when they are winning all the time*

* Note to potential foam fingered tosspots ... We never win all the time

Re: Will you be going to the Boro match?
Wont be going for the obvious reason…..BUT, when I did go to games it was more that just winning, it was a day out, a laugh with mates, the build up to the game, winning was really only the icing on top, don’t matter were we are in the table or how badly we are playing, im back in the UK early in April and cant wait to go to a game, and at least I wont have a problem getting decent tickets!.
